March Matchness
Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center is excited to launch March Matchness in partnership with Joshua Wilborne of Arena Real Estate to help senior dogs find loving homes!
After recently losing his first rescue dog to cancer after 14 years together, Joshua wanted to honor his best friend in a meaningful way. He reached out to FNACC with a generous offer—to fully sponsor adoption fees for senior dogs and give them the second chance they deserve.
Through March Matchness, Joshua is matching FNACC’s Golden Paws program, which already reduces adoption fees for dogs over 7 years old to just $35. Thanks to his support, all Golden Paws senior dog adoptions are now fully covered while funds last!
FNACC will also continue to support senior adoptions for all pets at NACC, ensuring that:

Senior cats over 7 years old have a reduced adoption fee of $35

Senior adopters over 65 can adopt any pet for just $25
-
Senior adopters who adopt a senior pet (7 years and older) will have their adoption fee fully covered

Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center is thrilled to announce our participation in the 2025 Book Exchange Charity Sale on September 27th and 28th! This amazing event brings the community together to support local organizations making a difference.
In 2024, the Book Exchange raised an incredible $9,419 for participating charities, and we’re excited to see what this year’s event has in store.
FNACC's charity weekend will be on September 27th and 28th. Every dollar raised helps us continue our mission of supporting Norfolk’s animals through medical care, adoption initiatives, and community outreach programs. Dogtoberfest 2024
The 11th Annual Dogtoberfest took place on Saturday, October 12th to benefit Norfolk Animal Care Center! We are so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, and purchased raffle tickets—your support means everything! 🐾❤️
A special shout-out to Elation Brewing for hosting us and to our incredible vendors for donating their time and goods for the raffle: Pawsnickety Pets, RyNo Love Boutique, LLC, Coco Cares, Camp Bow Wow Virginia Beach, Happy Pops, Hampton Roads Veterinary Hospice, When Skies are Grey Photography and Knervous Knitting. You truly helped make this event a success!
We also want to give a shout-out to Dan Pelligrino for the amazing live music, Hampton Roads Veterinary Hospice for offering free lump and bump checks, and When Skies Are Grey Photography for the beautiful fall-themed photo booth. You all made this event extra special!

A big thank you to Care-A-Lot Pet Supply for donating the awesome goodie bag prizes! Everyone brought their A-game, and this year's Dogtoberfest was one for the books!
